Ukraine Denies North Korea Sending 30,000 Additional Troops to Russia

Kyiv’s military intelligence service has denied recent reports ⁤about North Korea’s decision to‌ send an additional⁤ 30,000 troops to Russia.

According to ‍the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency ⁢and Japan Times, Kyiv’s military intelligence rejected ‍a recent report claiming ‍that North Korea plans to deploy 30,000 additional forces to Russia.

This denial comes after CNN reported earlier this month, quoting Ukrainian and Western intelligence sources, that North Korea was preparing such a troop deployment. Meanwhile, during Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s visit to Pyongyang, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un emphasized his country’s unconditional support for all Russian actions regarding Ukraine.

Simultaneously occurring, Ukrainian military intelligence claimed that North Korea ‍is⁢ preparing to send engineering units totaling 6,000 personnel over the next two ‍months. These units are expected to focus on mine-clearing and construction tasks in‌ Russia’s Kursk region.
