According to⁣ the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn Reuters, Axios reported based on two sources that President Donald ‌Trump is‍ set to unveil ‍a new⁢ plan to rearm⁤ Ukraine. ⁤This plan⁣ will include not‌ only ⁣defensive weapons but⁢ also offensive⁤ armaments.

Axios added⁣ that these offensive weapons⁤ will include long-range missiles capable of striking deep inside Moscow’s territory. Earlier, ⁤Trump stated he would issue a major statement today concerning Russia.

Ukrainian and American officials say this new plan from Trump was ⁢proposed by‌ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky⁢ during the NATO summit in the⁢ Hague.Sources told Axios that the⁣ meeting between Zelensky and Trump at the summit was their best encounter yet.

A hawkish U.S. senator reacted to Trump’s recent decision to send Patriot air defense ‌systems, along with plans for delivering long-range missiles to Ukraine: ⁢”Trump is truly angry at Putin. His upcoming statement will be fiercely aggressive!”

Referring to a new⁣ sanctions bill currently being drafted in the Senate, Senator Lindsey ‍Graham said it would empower⁣ President⁣ trump “to crush ⁢Moscow and its trading partners.”

Previously, Trump said ⁣if negotiations between Russia and‌ Ukraine ⁣do not lead to a ceasefire, additional sanctions against Moscow would be imposed. He also accused Russian President vladimir Putin of obstructing talks.

Speaking with CBS News, ⁣Graham‍ noted that despite tough stances toward other countries, “Trump ‌has kept⁢ communication channels open with Russia-but those doors are closing fast.”

The senator added that this bill before the Senate would give Trump “a ‌hammer” enabling ⁣him “to target ‌Putin’s economy along ‌with all countries supporting his war machine.”

If ⁢enacted,⁣ the legislation‌ would authorize tariffs⁣ as high as 500⁤ percent on nations continuing trade with Russia. Graham‌ highlighted China, brazil, and ‌India as key countries subject to these measures while emphasizing‌ Trump’s discretion in implementing them flexibly.

Graham further stated ⁣that the U.S. ⁣government⁤ is preparing at unprecedented levels for increased⁤ arms shipments headed for Kyiv. He also referenced‍ plans involving transferring frozen‌ Russian assets to support ukraine.

“I expect within days,” he said, “that tariff and sanction tools previously unavailable will be placed firmly in Trump’s hands.”
