Palestinian Resistance Launches Operation to Capture New Israeli Soldiers
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, the Israeli daily Yisrael Hayom stated that israeli military estimates indicate Hamas will increase its attempts to capture new Israeli soldiers in Gaza over the next few days.
The report says Hamas plans to leverage recent shifts on the battlefield to advance these operations.
It adds that Hamas has shifted toward more martyrdom-focused tactics and direct confrontations wiht Israeli forces in its ongoing operations.
This shift has heightened disagreements within Israel’s military leadership about the effectiveness of raids on Palestinian homes in Gaza, especially following a series of ambushes and explosions targeting booby-trapped houses.
yisrael Hayom notes that despite heightened alertness among Israeli troops, Palestinian resistance continues exploiting any tactical gaps on the ground.
The report further states that after each ambush trapping Israeli soldiers,an investigative committee is formed by the army. However, diverse resistance tactics have made countering these ambushes more difficult than before.
In this context, an Israeli Hebrew-language news site revealed that a Golani Brigade soldier recently narrowly escaped capture by Hamas as part of their abduction plan.
Recovered operational plans show Hamas militants had prepared serious arrangements to capture several soldiers inside one of Gaza’s buildings.
The scheme involved detonating an improvised explosive device against one military vehicle while trapping another in a resistance ambush.
A tunnel near the targeted location had been dug specifically for executing these kidnappings; however, surprisingly, a planned explosion did not occur as scheduled.
