Netanyahu Commits to Resuming Gaza War After Temporary Ceasefire
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to his finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich that military operations in Gaza will restart onc a likely 60-day ceasefire concludes.
Israel’s channel 12 reported that Netanyahu confirmed in closed-door meetings plans to relocate Gaza residents to southern areas. He intends to besiege northern Gaza as part of an alleged strategy to separate civilians from Hamas militants, preparing the ground for continued fighting after the ceasefire.
Netanyahu added that Israel’s preparation last month for confrontation with Iran has prevented earlier expectations by Smotrich of Hamas’s complete destruction.
Meanwhile, ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Doha remain stalled. Hamas demands guarantees for a definitive end to the war, while Israelis refuse such commitments.
