Israeli Fighters Target Syrian Tanks
Israeli jets targeted Syrian tanks in southern Syria.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the Israeli military claimed it recently targeted Syrian tanks near the village of Sami al-Suwayda in southern Syria.
The Israeli army also reported striking Syrian tanks between Sajin and al-Samiʿ in southern Syria.
Additionally, Israeli military radio quoted a senior officer saying the airstrike on Syrian tanks in al-Suwayda followed terrorist attacks against Druze communities.
Channel 12 of Israel cited a security source stating that Syrian tanks crossed an established line marked by Israel,prompting fighter jets to engage them.
A few hours earlier, news agencies reported extensive flights of Israeli warplanes over southern Syria.
