Flights from Iraq to Iran Resume
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Maloomah, reported that the Iraqi Ministry of Transportation declared on Monday that its airline flights to Iran, temporarily suspended due to regional security concerns, will restart on Tuesday.
In a statement received by Al-Maloomah news agency,the ministry confirmed that “this decision was made following high-level coordination with relevant security and regulatory authorities based on a stabilized situation allowing for a gradual and safe resumption of air traffic.”
The statement quoted Munaf Abdulmonem, Director General of Iraqi Airlines, saying that in the first phase there will be four weekly flights: two from Baghdad International Airport on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and two from Najaf International airport on Wednesdays and Sundays.
