Yerevan: Armenia Will Not Transfer Control of Its Territories to Any Third Party
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, spokesperson for Armenia’s Prime Minister, responded on Monday to a question from Armen Press, stating that Armenia does not consider transferring control of its sovereign territory to any third party.
In reaction to the position expressed by Thomas barrett, the US ambassador to Turkey and special envoy for Syria affairs, Baghdasaryan emphasized that Armenia has repeatedly declared it addresses regional infrastructure unblocking solely within the framework of its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and judicial authority. “We cannot consider any other logic,” she said. “Therefore, the option mentioned by the US ambassador is impossible.”
It is noteworthy that Thomas Barrett previously made questionable and interventionist remarks claiming his country is prepared to manage a transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan near Iran’s border under the pretext of advancing peace talks between Baku and Yerevan.
