Zelensky Thanks Trump for Approving Weapons Shipment to Ukraine
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the U.S. president’s decision to send military equipment by saying, “I am grateful to President Trump for his willingness to protect the lives of the Ukrainian people.”
Zelensky further asserted, “The war in Ukraine continues solely because of Putin’s desire for it to persist and drag on.”
On Monday at the White House, during a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg about arms shipments to Ukraine, U.S. President Trump stated: “We make the best weapons and arms, and Europeans know this. We have reached an agreement with them whereby we will send arms that they will pay for-America will not bear any of the costs.”
