Three Israeli Soldiers Commit Suicide in Last 10 Days; Total Suicides Rise to 44

According to‌ the ⁣English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency​ and Al Jazeera, Israeli media reported on Monday night that another soldier who participated in the⁢ Gaza war⁤ has taken his own life. This ⁤marks the third Israeli soldier to commit suicide in the last ten​ days.

The israel Defense Forces Radio announced that a soldier⁤ from the Nahal brigade died by suicide on​ Monday morning at⁤ a military base in the Golan Heights, northern Israel.

The Hebrew newspaper ⁤Yedioth Ahronoth ⁤reported that this​ soldier had served⁤ for more than‌ a⁢ year in ⁤the Gaza‍ conflict.

Last week, a Golani Brigade⁤ soldier involved in operations against⁤ Gaza shot himself at Sde Nechemya base located in the⁤ Negev Desert.

This soldier ⁤committed suicide after being interrogated by military police. Haaretz⁤ revealed that his commanders decided to confiscate his weapon ⁣following their investigation.Hours later, he used a​ comrade’s firearm to take his own life.

Earlier this week, Israeli news site walla⁤ reported that an​ Israeli soldier took his own life‌ after ‍enduring prolonged ⁢trauma throughout months ‌of ‍fighting against Gaza and lebanon and witnessing horrors during these‌ conflicts.

According to Israeli media ⁣reports, since hostilities began on October 7, 2023, at ⁣least 44 occupying‍ soldiers have committed suicide due to psychological symptoms stemming from‌ war-related stress.
