Hamas Responds to Killing of Palestinian Legislative Council Member
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing shihab News Agency via Mehr News Agency, Hamas expressed condolences over the assassination of Muhammad Faraj Al-Ghoul in an Israeli strike on Gaza.
Hamas described Al-Ghoul’s martyrdom as a major loss for Palestine, the resistance, and Hamas. They emphasized that he was one of the devoted leaders, patient fighters, and prominent legal and national figures who dedicated his life to Islamic advocacy, jihad, and defending the Palestinian people. Today he was killed in a cowardly Israeli assassination.
The movement stated that Muhammad Faraj Al-Ghoul was among the founding members of Gaza’s first generation of Islamic movement leaders. He remained a steadfast voice for justice and defender of the oppressed. Despite multiple detentions by the occupying regime, he never wavered from his principles and ideals. During his tenure as Minister of Justice, he was recognized as the conscience of resistance and a champion for justice.
The statement concluded: ”The blood of our martyrs will never be wasted. The assassination of our leaders and scholars only strengthens our resolve to continue resisting until complete liberation of our land and return of all refugees is achieved. We pledge before God and our nation to uphold dignity,honor,and resistance until final victory.”
