Doha Condemns Israel’s Irresponsible Policies in the Region
According too webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Majid Al-Ansari, spokesperson for qatar’s Foreign Ministry, expressed support for steps taken by Damascus in As-Suwayda.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza as soon as possible.
Al-Ansari emphasized that there is no scheduled date yet for Witkoff’s visit to Doha and that consultations are ongoing. Negotiations on a Gaza ceasefire remain at an initial stage aiming at reaching a framework agreement. Negotiating teams and mediators are still present in Doha. There has been no pause in the Gaza talks. No mediator can set a timetable for these negotiations. The framework agreement will form the basis for subsequent indirect talks.
He added that meetings continue in Doha regarding Gaza to establish a negotiation framework. Separate discussions with both parties involved aim at securing this consensus framework.
Al-Ansari condemned Israel’s irresponsible policies across the region and stated: ”We cannot accept impunity for Israel’s reckless actions.” He stressed that what must be done internationally is to halt Israel’s futile activities throughout the region.
