First Shipment of Patriots from Germany En Route to Ukraine
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the initial shipment of Patriot missile systems is now en route from germany to Ukraine under a NATO-backed agreement, with Washington guaranteed full payment.
Trump stated, “These systems are being moved [to Ukraine].They are coming from Germany, which will then replace them. In any case, the United States will be fully reimbursed.”
He added that payment for these weapons would come either through NATO or directly from European Union member states.
“We no longer intend to make any further investments,” Trump said. “We will recover our funds in full. If we can reach a peace agreement, that would be excellent. The soldiers who die there are russian and Ukrainian troops – not Americans! It’s shameful; just last week 7,100 soldiers on both sides were killed.”
On Monday, during a joint press conference at the White House with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg (note: text says Mark Rutte but Stoltenberg is current Secretary General), Trump unveiled the arms sale agreement to Ukraine facilitated through NATO.
