Haaretz Admits: Gaza’s Destruction Exceeds Initial Estimates
A Hebrew-language newspaper has acknowledged the extensive destruction left in the Gaza Strip.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the Hebrew-language newspaper Haaretz admitted that satellite images reveal far greater devastation across the Gaza Strip than previously estimated.
The report states that at least 70 percent of buildings in Gaza are now uninhabitable. Nearly 90 percent of structures in Rafah and 84 percent in northern Gaza have been destroyed.
The report highlights that building demolitions in Gaza are carried out by Israeli contractors under military supervision. Contractors receive payment of 5,000 shekels for each building they demolish, incentivizing them to target more areas for destruction.
