Unprecedented Mass Expulsion of Palestinians from West Bank; UN Issues Warning
The English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, reported that since January, Israeli forces have displaced tens of thousands of Palestinians in the northern west Bank. This surge has raised fears of potential ethnic cleansing.
Juliet Touma,spokesperson for UNRWA,described the ongoing Israeli military operations as their longest since the Second Intifada began in 2000.
“What is happening affects many refugee camps in the area and marks the largest forced displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank as 1967,” she said.
Various cities across the West Bank have witnessed extensive raids during wich numerous Palestinians have been detained by Israeli soldiers.
The UN report revealed that over 740 attacks targeted around 200 Palestinian towns, villages, and gatherings across the West Bank during the first half of this year.
