Israeli Drone Strike Targets Syrian Ministry of Defense and General Staff Headquarters
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Israeli forces continued their attacks against positions held by Mohammad al-Joulani’s terrorist regime, leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and head of the transitional government in Syria’s Suwayda province. The entrance to the Syrian Ministry of Defense building and the general Staff headquarters were struck by Israeli drones.
Al Jazeera reported that two Israeli drones hit the entrance to Syria’s Ministry of Defense located in Damascus, the capital. The General Staff headquarters was also targeted in these drone attacks.
A new wave of intense clashes erupted last Sunday between Druze armed groups and Bedouin tribes in Suwayda province,resulting in dozens killed and thousands displaced.
Earlier, Israel’s military radio announced these strikes against al-Joulani’s terrorist regime positions in Suwayda.
Reports also indicate that Israel has deployed additional forces near its occupied Palestine-Syria border.
A few hours ago, Channel 12 of Israeli television quoted Israel Katz, Israel’s defense minister, stating: “The army continues its attacks against Syrian forces. The Syrian regime must abandon supporting Druze fighters in Suwayda and withdraw its troops. We pursue a policy aimed at a weapons-free zone across syria. Our attacks on Syrian forces will persist until their withdrawal from Suwayda.”
the defense minister warned that if al-Joulani does not receive this message clearly,Tel Aviv will escalate its level of assaults.
