Israeli Air Defense Commander Replaced Following Recent Setbacks
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Israeli Air Force’s official account announced today a change in the commander of its air defense forces.
the Tel Aviv Air Force stated that after four years, Brigadier General (J) is handing over command of air defense to Brigadier General (K).
Following this change, the Hebrew-language newspaper Israel Hayom reported: “This change came just hours after The Wall Street Journal published a report detailing how Iranian missiles exploited gaps in Israel’s air defense system during the 12-day conflict.”
The former air defense commander said at his farewell and handing-over ceremony regarding the 12-day war: “We faced one of the largest and most unprecedented aerial attacks in israel’s history. I take full responsibility for all failures and lapses that occurred.”
The Wall Street Journal acknowledged today that as time passed during the Iran-Israel conflict, Iranian missiles increasingly penetrated deeper into Israel’s defensive layers.
