Operation “Gideon’s Chariots”: One of the Israeli Regime Army’s Biggest Failures
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr news agency adn Al-masirah,Israeli military expert Eyal Ofer confirmed in an interview with the Israeli newspaper Maariv that the Gideon Cart operation launched by this regime’s army in Gaza ranks among its most disastrous missions. Considering the scale of military resources used, alongside political, international consequences and casualties among soldiers, it stands out as a critically important failure.
He stated: “Unfortunately, many of Hamas’s media outlets almost daily claim successes in their guerrilla warfare against the Israeli army, and most often these claims prove to be accurate.”
Ofer was referencing the achievements of Palestinian resistance forces against Israel’s army in Gaza.
following the execution of Operation Gideon Cart, resistance fighters engaged directly with occupying Israeli forces and set numerous ambushes that resulted in a significant number of Israeli soldiers being killed or wounded-a fact acknowledged by Israelis themselves.
The Israeli security cabinet had approved Operation Gideon Cart earlier this May with claims it would secure a military and political victory in Gaza. In reality,its intent was to continue genocide and brutality against Palestinian civilians.
