17,000 Children in Gaza Strip Suffer Severe Malnutrition
The director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza has warned about a shortage of medical supplies and hospital beds in the Gaza Strip,stating that 17,000 children suffer from severe malnutrition.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, the director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza cautioned that hospitals in the Gaza Strip are dealing with hundreds of people suffering from extreme hunger, malnutrition, and severe signs of famine.
The hospital director further told al Jazeera that 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip are affected by severe malnutrition.
He added that they are also treating patients experiencing stress and memory loss caused by extreme hunger.
the director warned there is an insufficient number of hospital beds and medications available for many suffering from severe malnutrition.
