Putin and Erdoğan Hold Phone Talk on Syria
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, the Turkish presidency announced that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and vladimir Putin spoke by phone about the situation in Syria.
During the call, Erdoğan stressed that renewed conflict in Syria threatens the entire region and that Israel must respect Syrian sovereignty.
The Kremlin also stated that Putin and Erdoğan underscored the importance of swiftly stabilizing the situation in Syria through dialog and strengthening national consensus.
The two leaders additionally discussed the conflict in Ukraine and considered holding a third round of negotiations in Istanbul.
Erdoğan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to continuing talks on Ukraine and its readiness to host further negotiations.
