Joulani: Tel Aviv’s Intervention Pushes Syria Toward a Dangerous Phase
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Abu Muhammad al-Joulani, the leader of the terrorist groups ruling Syria, claimed in a televised message that recent developments in Suwayda in southern Syria created dangerous security and political conditions. He warned that without the intervention of these elements, the situation woudl have spiraled out of control.
Al-Joulani added that despite severe challenges, the current Syrian authorities managed to stabilize conditions. Though, Tel Aviv’s interventions pushed stability toward a hazardous phase of instability. Due to these interventions, American and Arab mediators stepped in to calm tensions.
He stated that as his regime’s forces withdrew from certain areas, armed groups launched retaliatory attacks against tribes and their families. These assaults prompted other tribal groups to mobilize in support of Suwayda’s residents.
Al-Joulani asserted that Syria’s current regime claims obligation for protecting minorities and various clans within the country but denies involvement in any crimes inside or outside Suwayda.
He also emphasized that seeking external assistance by some factions harms Syria. The province of Suwayda remains an integral part of Syrian territory, wiht Druze communities forming a basic pillar of its national structure. They have shown clear opposition to any fragmentation of Syria.
It is noteworthy that hours before announcing a ceasefire agreement in Suwayda and its terms, those terrorist rulers declared it themselves.
