Israeli Media Acknowledge Yemen’s Strategic Victory
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Yemen News, reports that amid ongoing military operations by Yemen’s armed forces supporting the Gaza front, all U.S. and Israeli economic and military plans to ease the blockade imposed on Eilat port and Israeli shipping ther have failed.
The report states that Israel’s cabinet recently made another attempt to reopen Eilat port. However, this move was thwarted when Yemen’s armed forces sank two ships-the Eternity C and Magic Seas-in the red Sea. the sinking sent a strong deterrent message to maritime companies about the dangers of interacting with Israeli ports and violating bans on vessels cooperating with Israel.
Yemen News added that ships passing thru the Red Sea can safely transit if they coordinate with Yemen’s armed forces, identify themselves, and confirm they have no affiliation with Israel.
The news agency described Israel’s recent failed effort to reopen Eilat port-expected today-as a significant strategic victory for Yemen. It said this success alters regional influence dynamics and balances of power in an unprecedented shift in Arab-israeli conflicts history.
Israel’s economic newspaper Globes reported that the blockade on Yemen in the Red Sea has paralyzed-and completely shut down-Eilat port operations.
Earlier, hebrew-language newspaper Calcalist had warned that Eilat faces total closure. It characterized this progress as a major win for Yemen’s Ansarullah movement and a defeat for Israel’s economy.
