6.7 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Eastern Russia
A 6.7 magnitude earthquake shook a region in eastern Russia.
The German Research Center for Geosciences reported an earthquake measuring 6.6 magnitude in the Kamchatka region of eastern Russia, according to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency.
The centre stated that the quake’s epicenter was located 10 kilometers underground. Initial reports estimated its strength at 6.2 magnitude.
Following this event, another earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck the east coast of Kamchatka, with its epicenter also at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre has reported the second quake’s magnitude as 7.4.
