Israeli Military Officer Dan Philbison Killed

Israeli media report the‍ death of another‍ soldier in the regime.

According to ‌the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and ⁤Al Mayadeen, Israeli media⁤ have reported the death of another soldier in the regime.

The reports state that Dan Philbson, an Israeli soldier, died from injuries sustained during a suicide attempt at a‍ military base in‌ southern Israel.

This soldier, who was part of an airborne unit, attempted suicide last week.

It is indeed worth noting that on Friday, Israeli sources also reported finding the body of a 30-year-old Israeli army soldier who had been shot dead near Kfar Tabuach in the West Bank. The Israeli outlet Hadashot ⁢Lelo Tzanzura stated that this incident was also a suicide.

Israeli sources say that since the war against⁢ Gaza began on October 7, 2023 (15 Mehr 1402), more then 44 Israeli soldiers have committed suicide due to psychological disorders caused by the conflict.

Reports indicate that military suicides are increasing. ‌The Israeli newspaper Haaretz quoted some sources stating that due to manpower shortages, the army is re-enlisting reserve soldiers suffering from mental health issues for combat ⁤duties in ⁢Gaza.

The newspaper‌ wrote: “Because of troop shortages and rising suicides among soldiers, Israel’s ⁤army is recalling forces afflicted with post-traumatic stress disorder to ‌battle.”

Recently, Channel 12 of Israeli television reported complaints from soldiers about military operations lasting up to‍ twelve continuous hours.

The ‍network added that elite army units are taking over infantry missions because nearly 10,000 troops have been killed or wounded and there is ⁣a shortage of personnel.

In late May this year, Israel’s Ministry of Internal Security announced that since October 7, 2023 (from the start of operation Al-Aqsa Storm until‍ May 17), about 9,000 Israeli soldiers have suffered mental health⁤ problems‌ linked ⁤to ongoing conflict conditions.
