Iran-EU3 Nuclear Talks Scheduled for Friday in Istanbul

Al Jazeera, citing IRIB News Agency, reported that Iran has agreed⁢ to a new ⁤round of nuclear talks with three European countries ⁤in Istanbul,⁤ Turkey, next ‌Friday.

According to the English section of webangah ​News Agency, quoting Mehr‌ News Agency,‍ Al Jazeera cited a ‌reporter ‌from the‌ Islamic Republic⁤ of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) as saying that Tehran has accepted Europe’s request for a new round ​of negotiations with the United Kingdom, Germany, ⁣and France.

Al Jazeera’s ⁣report based​ on⁤ IRIB ‍indicates that signs point to the new⁤ round taking place next ⁢Friday in Istanbul with the three European countries.

IRIB emphasized that these talks will occur at the deputy foreign minister⁣ level and will focus specifically on⁤ iran’s⁤ nuclear​ program.

Reportedly, Ismail Baghai, ​spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told⁤ an IRIB reporter that this​ negotiation session will ‌be held in⁤ Istanbul with Saeed Iravani Far (Gharibabadi) and Majid ‍Takht-Ravanchi attending.

Since the ‍beginning of President Ebrahim Raisi’s administration (the 14th government), four rounds of talks ‍have been held between iran and these three European members of the JCPOA: New York, Geneva twice (including most recently), and⁣ Istanbul.

The negotiations between Iran and Europe⁢ are being conducted separately‍ from indirect discussions with the united States.
