Suwayda Military Council: Terrorists Commit Crimes in Syria Under ISIS Slogans
The Military Council in Suwayda, recently formed to support the Druze community in the province, stated that ongoing developments align with continued crimes by terrorist groups using ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra slogans, committing atrocities before the eyes of the world.
The council emphasized its belief in peaceful solutions and dialog, noting efforts to reach an agreement with the Damascus goverment.
It added that it has proposed plans to halt bloodshed and protect civilians to Damascus but has yet to receive a serious response to resolve this crisis.
The council affirmed its commitment to resist in defense of Syrian territory and people.
Yesterday, Syrian sources reported renewed clashes in the towns of arika, Rima Hazem, and Shahba within Suwayda province. The fighting involved medium weapons and mortars.
This comes despite earlier reports indicating a ceasefire had been implemented in Suwayda.
