Troop Shortage Crisis Reaches Command Levels of Israeli Regime Army
The English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Al Jazeera, reports that the Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv admitted the Israeli army faces a shortfall of 300 officers for command roles in its ground forces.
The report states this shortage is most pronounced within the engineering units. The Israeli military admits it is indeed challenging to persuade specialized soldiers to join officer training courses.
Maariv added that in recent months, the army has had to employ officers who have not completed the required command training programs.
Earlier reports indicated that increasing female soldier participation in combat operations in Gaza and Lebanon is seen as a potential solution to address manpower shortages within the Israeli army.
