Zionists Kidnap Gaza Field Hospitals’ Director
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestine Information Center, the Director General of Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced that on Monday, Israeli special forces abducted Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, director of Gaza Strip field hospitals and head of Abu Yusuf al-Najar Hospital.
The arrest took place while Dr.Al-Hams was visiting a Red Cross field hospital west of Khan younis. During the incident, his ambulance driver was shot and wounded.
The Gaza Ministry of Health condemned this act and held Israel fully responsible for Dr. Al-Hams’ life and wellbeing.
In addition to abducting Dr. Al-Hams during this operation,Israeli forces also killed several civilians,including Palestinian journalist Tamer Al-Zaanin.
The Ministry released a statement strongly condemning the Israeli army’s special unit for kidnapping Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, who oversees both Abu Yusuf Al-Najar Hospital and Gaza’s field hospital network.
The statement read: “This cowardly action taken today at noon is a direct attack on the voices of patients, starving people, and sufferers in Gaza. Dr. Al-Hams was one of the most prominent humanitarian and medical voices conveying to the world the pain of children dying from hunger, injured patients deprived of medicine, and mothers crying outside hospital doors.”
The Ministry emphasized that this act reveals an explicit intent to silence truth and conceal the suffering faced by a people engulfed in an unprecedented humanitarian health crisis.
This kidnapping is considered a serious violation against freedom of expression and humanitarian work; thus, Israel bears full responsibility for Dr. Al-Hams’ safety with an immediate demand for his unconditional release.
