Statement from 25 Countries: War Against Gaza Must Stop Immediately
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera news agency, 25 countries-including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan, Australia, Canada, denmark, and New Zealand-issued a joint statement on Monday urging an immediate halt to the war in Gaza and demanding an end to the crimes committed by Israeli forces against the oppressed Palestinian population.
The statement reads: “The war in Gaza must end instantly. The suffering of civilians in Gaza has reached unprecedented levels. The killing of over 800 Palestinians seeking aid is horrifying. Israel’s refusal to deliver essential assistance to civilians is unacceptable. Israel must comply with its obligations under international law. We call on Israel to immediately lift all restrictions on aid delivery and allow United Nations agencies and other organizations to carry out their humanitarian work for the people of gaza.”
The 25 signatories further stated: “The proposal to relocate Palestinians to a so-called humanitarian zone is fully unacceptable. Forced displacement violates international humanitarian law. We oppose any actions aimed at altering geographical or demographic realities. The E1 settlement plan-if implemented-will fragment Palestine geographically. This plan constitutes a blatant violation of international law. We express our support for efforts towards achieving a ceasefire and stand ready to take further measures in support of an immediate ceasefire.”
