Moscow: We Hope to Overcome the Current Difficult Period in Moscow-Baku Relations
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via TASS, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian presidency (the Kremlin), announced on Monday that once the date for a new round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine is set, it will be made public.
The Russian presidential spokesperson added that there have been no changes to russia’s delegation for the upcoming negotiation round with Ukraine. The draft agreements between Russia and Ukraine on resolving the conflict remain fundamentally opposed, and much diplomatic work still lies ahead.
Dmitry Peskov also stated that Russia and Ukraine need to exchange views regarding memoranda related to resolving the dispute.He emphasized that mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan exists based on mutual respect. He expressed hope that this difficult period in Moscow-Baku relations will soon be behind them.
Meanwhile, after Russian security forces raided homes of Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg-detaining nine individuals-Baku launched retaliatory measures including closing Sputnik’s office in Azerbaijan and detaining two of its employees.
