The death toll from heavy rains and landslides in South Korea has risen to 18, with 11 others reported missing.
According to Mehr News Agency quoting Reuters, South Korea announced on Monday that the number of victims from torrential rains has increased to 18.
Media reports indicate that 11 people remain missing amid the ongoing situation.
According to Yonhap News agency, storms that swept through the country on July 16 have displaced over 14,000 people across 15 cities and provinces, forcing them into temporary shelters.
Damage assessments show more than 1,920 incidents affecting public property and over 2,234 incidents involving private property.these include flooded roads, landslides, collapse of river infrastructure, building inundations, and submerged farmland.
