Gaza Ministry of Health: Israel Kills 28 Children Daily
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, the Director General of Gaza’s Ministry of Health told Al Jazeera that Gaza’s hospitals have admitted approximately 100 martyrs daily from direct Israeli bombardments over the past three months.
He warned that the average number of child fatalities in Gaza has reached 28 per day, with deaths and illnesses related to malnutrition rising at an alarming rate.
The health official added that within just 48 hours, 20 people have died due to starvation. The situation has escalated to an unprecedented level of famine and malnutrition.
He further explained that many people are collapsing on streets from hunger, calling the condition no longer critical but catastrophic. According to him, new diseases are spreading rapidly, and the local healthcare system is overwhelmed and unable to respond effectively.
Referring to dozens of children affected by a rare Guillain-Barré syndrome, he said there are no available treatment options for them.
21 additional martyrs killed in Israeli artillery strike west of Gaza City
Al Jazeera also reported via its correspondent in Gaza that an Israeli army artillery attack targeted a refugee tent camp in Al-Shati camp west of Gaza City, killing 21 people.
