Agence France-Presse Issues Unprecedented⁢ Warning on the Risk of Its Journalists Dying of⁣ Starvation in Gaza Strip

According to the English ​section of ‌ webangah News Agency,quoting Mehr ⁣News⁣ Agency ​and Al-Youm Al-Sabea,Agence‌ France-Presse (AFP) has expressed grave concern for the fate of its​ 10 journalists trapped in⁤ the⁢ Gaza Strip. The agency emphasized that despite severe conditions since the outbreak of war, these journalists have continued reporting news and footage from the region.

The official statement warned that these journalists face an imminent risk⁣ of death⁣ from starvation at any moment.

This marks the first time as AFPS founding in 1944 that such a declaration has been issued.

The statement highlighted that these reporters ⁣are among the few remaining correspondents inside Gaza and are currently suffering from ​extreme shortages of food and potable water.

Bashar, ⁢a photographer who has worked with AFP since 2010, recently posted on social media expressing his‍ exhaustion, noting his body has weakened to ⁣a point where he can no longer perform his duties.

Another journalist, ahlam, reporting from southern ⁤Gaza, stressed there is no ‍available food or drinking water for use.

In closing its statement to the international community, AFP affirmed that until now‍ none of its journalists stationed in some of the ⁣conflict’s most⁣ dangerous zones have faced death by starvation-an unprecedented‌ crisis unfolding before their eyes.
