Amnesty International: Israel’s Attack on Evin Must Be Investigated as a War Crime
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen,Amnesty International today called for an self-reliant international investigation into the brutal attack by the Israeli regime on Evin Prison in tehran.
The statement from the international organization declared that the deliberate airstrikes by the Israeli military constitute a grave violation of international law and must be investigated as a war crime.
Amnesty International emphasized that these airstrikes caused dozens of Iranian civilians to lose their lives, with many others wounded. The attacks also inflicted extensive destruction across six sections inside the prison.
The organization added that any prison or detention facility is inherently a civilian site, and there is no justification for considering Evin Prison a legitimate military target.
