Al-Badawi: Direct US Attack on Iran Has Escalated Tensions

according to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News ⁢Agency and Saudi Al-Watan newspaper, Jassim Mohammed Al-budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stressed that recent events in‍ the region, including a‌ direct US strike on ⁣Iran’s nuclear sites, have intensified tensions and will impact⁣ regional security and stability.

Al-Budaiwi reaffirmed the GCC’s commitment to ‌the provisions⁤ of the statement issued at the 48th ⁤unusual Meeting of GCC Foreign Ministers concerning regional developments.​ He strongly condemned all actions threatening regional security and stability.

He also called⁣ for an immediate ceasefire ⁤and urged all parties to make joint efforts to de-escalate the situation.

Describing diplomacy as an effective path to conflict resolution,Al-Budaiwi urged maximum restraint to keep both ‌the region and its people safe from the dangers of war.
