Fidan Warns: Turkey Will Intervene if Syria Moves Toward Fragmentation and Instability
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Anadolu Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated on Tuesday that if groups in Syria push toward fragmentation and instability, Turkey will view this as a direct threat to its national security and will intervene.
During a joint press conference in Ankara with his Salvadoran counterpart, Alexandra hill, the Turkish minister said Israel pursues a policy aimed at weakening the region and maintaining chaos.
Fidan added that the Israeli regime does not want any country in its neighborhood to be stable and thus intends to fragment Syria.
This comes after clashes earlier this month between bedouin Arab tribes and armed Druze groups in Suwayda city, which prompted Israeli airstrikes inside Syria.
