Anwar Ibrahim Affirms Commitment to Stance on Iran and Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that despite pressure from the United States during tariff negotiations, Malaysia remains firm on its position regarding the Gaza Strip and Iran.
He added that despite threats, protests, and objections to Malaysia’s stance on Palestine and Gaza or its strong relations with Iran, such pressures will not alter the country’s consistent viewpoint as a sovereign autonomous nation.
Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that Malaysia will continue to defend its unwavering position on Palestine in international forums such as the United Nations, the Institution of Islamic Cooperation, and the Arab League.
According to Anwar Ibrahim, talks between kuala Lumpur and Washington over reducing U.S. tariffs on Malaysian-made goods are ongoing but have yet to reach their final stage.
