Obama Breaks Silence: “Trump’s Claims Are Ridiculous and Meant to Distract
The office of Barack Obama, former President of the United States, described the accusations made by current President donald trump as “bizarre,” according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing The Guardian and Mehr News Agency.
Patrick Rodenbush, spokesperson for Obama’s office, issued a rare statement directed at the White House, saying, “Out of respect for the presidency, our office usually does not respond to the constant nonsense and misinformation coming from this White House. Tho, these recent claims are offensive enough to warrant a response. These bizarre accusations are ridiculous and appear to be an attempt at distraction. None of the documents released last week challenge the conclusion that Russia sought to influence the 2016 presidential election but failed in manipulating any votes.”
Last week, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard claimed that newly obtained classified documents reveal that Obama and other senior officials in his administration “orchestrated a treasonous plot against Trump in 2016.”
Today, Trump called Obama a “criminal,” accusing him of being “trapped” and demanding criminal investigations into his predecessor on charges of treason.
