Amid Deaths of 21 Children from Hunger, 100 International Organizations Issue Warning
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, over 100 non-governmental organizations have raised alarms about escalating famine and its consequences in the Gaza Strip. This warning comes amid reports that 21 Palestinian children have died of hunger in the past 72 hours.
Among these groups are Doctors Without Borders and Amnesty international, which today issued a joint statement urging an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. They called for all land crossings leading to the enclave to be opened promptly to allow humanitarian aid delivery.
Yesterday, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights reported that more than a thousand Palestinians have lost their lives at humanitarian aid distribution centers due to attacks by Israeli forces.
