Number of Journalists Killed in Gaza Conflict Reaches 231
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, reported that the Palestinian Government Media Office in Gaza announced the deaths of two Palestinian journalists, Tamer al-Za’anin and Walaa al-Jaabari. This brings the total number of media martyrs as the start of the war to 231.
The statement strongly condemned what it called “the targeted assassination and systematic killing” of Palestinian journalists by the occupying regime.
The Gaza media office also declared: “We hold the occupying regime, the United States government, and all countries involved in this genocide responsible for these brutal actions.”
Earlier reports from Palestinian sources said Walaa al-Jaabari was killed along with her husband and their five children during an airstrike by the Israeli occupation forces on their home in Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
