Solidarity Rally with Gaza Held in Beirut + Video
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, reports have confirmed a solidarity rally for Gaza was held in Beirut.
lebanese sources stated that several activists, legal experts, and academic figures gathered at Riyad al-Solh Square in Lebanon’s capital to denounce the Israeli regime’s blockade on Gaza and the intentional deprivation of food among its people.
The protesters also expressed disgust over the global community’s passivity toward what they described as genocide in Gaza.
They called on Arab countries to take action to break the siege and deliver humanitarian aid and food supplies to Gaza’s population.
Hassan Bazzi, a Lebanese lawyer, said: “The purpose of this gathering is to respond to these painful scenes and highlight that the international community-including the Security Council, United Nations, and hypocritical organizations-only take positions against weaker parties while remaining powerless before Israel and America.”
Addressing the Arab League he added: “do two million Palestinian lives not deserve an emergency session or efforts to lift their food blockade? It is shameful that we see no reaction across Arab or Islamic worlds.”
Bazzi urged Lebanon’s government to demand an exceptional meeting of the Arab league.
