US Embassy Guard in Oslo Accused of Spying for Tehran and Moscow
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, agence France-Presse claims that a norwegian man working as a security officer at the US Embassy in Oslo has been accused of espionage for both Russia and Iran.
The 27-year-old suspect is alleged to have provided information about embassy activities from March 2024 until november 20, 2024, according to an indictment.
The charges state he shared contact details of diplomats,embassy staff,and their families with Russian and/or Iranian entities.
The indictment further alleges he transferred embassy blueprints,security protocols,and a list of couriers used by Norwegian intelligence services.
Norwegian prosecutors declared in the July 22 indictment (Tuesday) that these actions are considered serious offenses ”especially because they involved disclosing information to a foreign country.”
