All 46 Passengers on Russian Antonov Plane Killed
The Russian Emergency Services Ministry has confirmed the death of all passengers aboard a commercial aircraft that disappeared from radar in the contry’s eastern region.
The Russian Emergency Services Ministry announced that all passengers on the Antonov AN-24 passenger plane perished in the crash, according to webangah News Agency.
The ministry reported that the aircraft caught fire immediately after the accident, and none of those on board survived.
Rescue helicopters dispatched to the site where unable to land nearby due to mountainous terrain surrounding the burning plane.
Earlier reports by TASS indicated there were 46 passengers aboard at the time of the incident.
The plane lost contact with air traffic control while flying just a few kilometers from Tynda Airport in Amur Oblast.
