Macron: France Will Officially Recognize the Palestinian Government
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, French President Emmanuel Macron declared that France has decided to recognize the State of Palestine. He described this step as part of France’s historic commitment to achieving a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
Macron stated that he will officially announce this decision at the United Nations General Assembly next September.
The president emphasized the urgent need to halt the war in Gaza and save civilian lives.
Israeli Officials condemn Macron’s Decision to Recognize Palestinian Statehood
Israel’s Deputy Prime Minister sharply criticized macron’s move, labeling it a “stain” on france’s reputation and an endorsement of terrorism.
Yariv Levin condemned the decision, saying: “This is a stain on France’s forehead and a sign of Paris supporting terrorism.”
He further asserted that now is the time for Israel to fully assert its sovereignty over the West Bank,calling it “a just and historic response” to France’s unacceptable decision.
