Netanyahu Withdraws Israeli Negotiation Team from Doha
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik News, the office of Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, stated in a release that following a response from Hamas this morning, it was decided that the negotiation team would return to Israel for additional consultations.
The statement praised the role of regional and international mediators in advancing negotiations, while overlooking Israeli actions in Gaza. It read: “The Prime Minister’s office appreciates the efforts of two mediating countries, Qatar and Egypt, and also those of Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy, for their contributions toward progress in talks.”
This progress comes amid ongoing trilateral-mediated negotiations in Doha aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement and arranging a prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas.
