Triple Surge in Number of Children Suffering Malnutrition in Gaza
Doctors Without Borders Reports Sharp Rise in Malnutrition Cases in Gaza Strip.
According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Doctors Without Borders has stated that what is happening in the Gaza Strip amounts to purposeful starvation imposed on the population by israeli authorities.
The international organization emphasized that Tel Aviv must allow extensive humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip.
Doctors Without Borders added that patients and medical personnel in Gaza are currently struggling desperately to survive. Since May 18, the number of people suffering from malnutrition has quadrupled.
The organization also stressed that the rate of severe malnutrition among children under five years old in Gaza has tripled over the past two weeks.
