Erdogan to Consult with Trump and Putin in Coming Days
according to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on Friday that he may hold consultations in the coming days with U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Erdoğan said these talks aim to explore the possibility of arranging a summit in Istanbul involving them to discuss the war in Ukraine.
The Kremlin on Friday rejected Kyiv’s proposal for a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin before the end of August,deeming it unfeasible.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Friday that no plans currently exist for a meeting between Putin and Zelensky. He added such a summit could only take place as a final step toward signing a peace agreement.
