Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces Respond to Falih Al-Fayyadh’s Retirement News
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Baghdad Today, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) denied reports on Saturday about the dismissal or retirement of Falih Alfayyadh.
In a statement, the PMF said: “The forged document attributed to the President of Iraq claiming to dismiss or retire the PMF chief is fake. This misinformation should be disregarded. Official sources should be relied upon for accurate news.”
Simultaneously occurring, an informed Iraqi source also rejected rumors about Alfayyadh’s retirement from his position.
The source confirmed that reports regarding Falih Alfayyadh stepping down as head of the PMF are false and unfounded.
The Presidency of Iraq also denied circulating documents related to Falih alfayyadh’s retirement.
It is indeed worth noting that a fake document concerning his retirement had been published earlier.
