French and Egyptian Presidents Consult on Gaza Crisis
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Daily News, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Saturday regarding the ongoing developments in Gaza amid continuing crimes by the Jerusalem occupiers.
Their discussion covered bilateral relations, efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza, and Paris’s imminent recognition of the State of Palestine.
Mohamed El-Shenawy,spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency,stated that this phone call reaffirmed the strength of Egypt-France relations and both parties’ commitment to accelerate progress following Macron’s recent visit to Cairo-especially in economic,commercial,and investment cooperation.
The talks also addressed Egypt’s ongoing mediation efforts toward securing a ceasefire in Gaza. Both sides emphasized the urgent need to ensure sufficient and sustained delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
El-Sisi welcomed macron’s recent declaration about France’s intention to officially recognize the State of Palestine during the united Nations General Assembly meeting in New York this September.
