Apocalyptic Scenes Unfold in Turkey; 2,000 Evacuated + Video

Widespread wildfires in Turkey’s‌ forested areas have forced the evacuation of 2,000 residents.

According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Turkish authorities announced that at least 2,000 people have been evacuated ‍following massive forest⁤ fires in the country.

The⁣ fires intensified Saturday night on the​ hills⁢ surrounding‍ Bursa, located in northwestern Turkey, due to strong winds. These ‌conditions created a ⁣severe emergency in the area.

Currently,over 1,100 firefighters are deployed to control the blaze.The main highway connecting Bursa to ⁣ankara⁤ has been closed as ‌a precautionary measure.

A local representative described the current⁣ situation in Bursa as catastrophic. Since late June, Turkey has experienced a surge in forest fires driven by an ongoing heatwave.
