Kohen: Immunity Is No Comfort or Safe Haven for Hamas Leaders!
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, threats from the Israeli regime to assassinate Hamas leaders continue unabated.
The Israeli Army Radio quoted Energy Minister Eli Cohen stating: “There is no immunity for Hamas leaders in Gaza or anywhere else in the world.”
In response to failed negotiations with the Palestinian Islamic resistance Movement (Hamas), Eli Cohen claimed, “We made every effort to reach an agreement, but one thing will never be compromised-Israel’s security.”
Cohen delivered a controversial and threatening message: “Operational options against Hamas inside Gaza and beyond have been approved. Anyone connected with Hamas will not sleep peacefully at night.”
This statement followed Israel’s negotiating team announcing their failure in talks for securing the release of Israeli prisoners held in Gaza.
Previously, Israel’s Defense Minister Yisrael Katz threatened assassination against Khalil al-hayya, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, and Ezz al-Din Haddad, a leader within the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades-the movement’s military wing.
The Israeli media outlet yedioth Ahronoth earlier reported plans for possible assassinations targeting some Hamas leaders residing in qatar and other countries.
